Stayed here back in 2015-16; heavy on the brainwashing/troubled teen industry typical manipulation. The “counselors” (many of whom have left and I’m still in contact with) would type up word for word every conversation you had and send it to your guardians/parents-no HIPPA lol. They also have a tendency to cover up onsite abuse/SA and are notorious for disrespecting pronouns/preferred names. Stayed here in 2020 as well. I feel like I need to speak up. Yes, they did turn all the heat up when a patient was anxious about getting out of bed. I remember it being so hot and stuffy. They blared a microphone by their bed, and made it loud. The staff removed us from the house and took us on an "adventure". When we came back, they were no longer there. stayed here when i was 16 and im now 23. matt who may or may not still be a therapist here was terrible. the rest of the staff was lovely. when i arrived i was embarrassed and he said “well maybe next time don’t try and kill yourself.” when i was about to enter the room he noticed i had anxiety and said “this is going to be so much fun” in regards to treating me then said “when you open that door it’s going to make a ton of noise and everyone is going to look at you.” he then proceeded to say how dorky i looked with my glass... read more

We had a truly positive experience with Evolve Teen Treatment in Ojai, CA for our 13/14-year-old daughter. The location is beautiful, right near downtown Ojai, and the environment felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived.
