After waiting weeks to get in I finally saw a doctor. She was nice enough and told me she would set me up with an epidural in my back. I was so happy that I would be out of pain, but then was told that the soonest they could do it was 1 month away. I accepted the appointment but was disappointed. Fast forward to the week of my injection and I get a voice-mail confirmation for my injection but they had me scheduled at the wrong time. I was greeted by a sullen disheveled girl (medical assistant?) in a dirty hoodie who acted bored, asked me some odd questions that lead me to think maybe she had the wrong chart. She mentioned something about cancer (I don’t have cancer). The doctor was nice but by that point I’d lost all confidence in the place and was desperate to get out of there.
Absolutely the worst place to go to for pain management. I could never get through on the phone to make an appointment when I did get through, they were super rude and did not help me make an appointment. Maintaining a cooperative and collaborative partnership between patient and provider is essential for high-quality care. I had challenging interactions which reflected their professional judgment regarding conditions necessary for a safe, respectful and effective relationship. I found doctor jason pope less than agreeable for his non professional veneer. He looked like he had just came off a Himalayan bike race. He refuses to prescribe any opioids for anyone that uses cannabis. Even though cannabis is legal under state law and is a scheduled 3 federal classified drug. Apparently, he ublished his own rules when it comes to prescriptions, and not the actual laws that come up with it.
