Outrageously expensive but I have yet to find any one else as good I went to Evolutions once and have since tried three other less expensive salons for trims on the same style. I have paid between $20 and $50 at the other salons and, while they have given me the same basic shape and style, the cut just isn't the same. I don't know what Evolutions did that made the cut so much better, but my hair always looked amazing. Even when I didn't do anything with it. Very dissapointed I recently relocated to Pasadena and it is always hard to find someone that would your hair as you want it. Based on the reviews I came across online I thought this salon would be extraordinary. My experience was far from that. The stylist (cannot remember his name) didn't stop pushing me to buy their products even when I politely told him that my budget was tight due to my recent move. I was in shock when I was charged $90 for just a haircut! HUGE MISTAKE!
Evolutions I went here a few years ago when I decided I wanted to change my image. Obviously I was nervous, as anyone would be about getting a drastic haircut. I explained what I thought I wanted, but left room for the hairstylist to make suggestions. I have difficult hair, and I didn't know if what I wanted would work well or be a complete disaster. friendly, competent and somewhat expensive I didn't have to wait and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They understood what I wanted and cut my hair just right. I have somewhat difficult hair and have in the past had problems getting a decent haircut. Evolutions (Herb) handled it professionally. They are definitely on the expensive side, but a bad haircut isn't worth what you might save.
Attentive Extremely attentive staff. They listen well and seriously take into account what -you- want. Sometimes this makes it hard to be creative with hair, but they also offer really good advice. I recommend this place for normal, work-style hair styles.
I love what they do with my hair. Somewhat pricey, but in my opinion, worth it, especially if you have difficult hair (curly, unruly, etc). Great customer service too.
