Thank you to Ariana and Sarat, the medical residents who saw my grandmother after hours! They were both incredibly helpful, very nice with great bedside manner, and were persistent in finding the root of the issue after my grandmother’s wound vac stopped working. Big big thanks to them 🙏🙏

I wouldn't give Norfolk general R- wing on the 5th floor any stars. This has been the worst experience of my life between the LAZY nursing staff, patient laying in the hallway in front of my room for the past two days because they claim to have no beds, but 3 empty rooms on the next hall, kitchen staff bringing me food that I am allergic too 3 times, To a nurse on the 5th floor night shift calling hospital security to my room because I insulted their co workers dry crusty wig for lying about checking on me every 2 hours afte... read more

Friendliness and helpfulness of all persons we encountered raised our experience to a very high level. Honestly, very few patients go to the hospital because everything is going very well in their bodies - I certainly fit into the category of those who prefer not to have the health issues requiring a trip to the hospital; a superb staff eases the angst many feel before arriving at your front door.

First time at Sentara general. I was told to come here for walk-in X-Rays by my Primary care doctor. I had no clue where to go, but the sentara staff was very clear and organized. I checked in, got my insurance info on file, and was taken that same day for x-rays. The staff was very nice and helpful. Everything seems up to par. I'll update later if something goes wrong with billing. Fingers crossed it works out.
