I was transferred to Dr. Evis Hudson after my original endocrinologist went on maternity leave and eventually left the practice. From the start, communication with Dr. Hudson and her office was nearly impossible. Whenever issues came up with my medication or insurance, I could never reach anyone. Dr. Hudson is a busy doctor, and understandably so. My appointment with her was wonderful. She is thorough, a passionate patient advocate, and is incredibly knowledgeable. So glad to have met her.
I called twice to make an appointment and each time a rude person picked up the phone and said "they're coming to their desk, the person you're calling is not here". The first time it happened, I thought I misdialed, and the second time I asked if I was calling a Dr's office and received the same response: "yeah. The person you're calling is coming to their desk". I didn't understand so I asked if I called back in 20 mins I could make an appointment. Their response: "yeah". I wasted a year of my life working with this doctor! I waited several months for each follow up appointment to discuss my medication and treatment progress, but she’d consistently show up 15-30 minutes late and only would speak to me for maybe 3 minutes at most. If I had issues with side effects or if I was running out of my prescription, I’d have to message on mychart and call several times to get help. Sometimes waiting 1-2 months for a response.
