since they were closing after 2 years under new management and owners, we wanted to have a last meal with Eve's 35 minutes wait for a table. no issue. finally get a text our table is ready. there is no one at the host stand. we waited another 10 minutes no one acknowledged us. so we sat down. we ordered 2 beers a tea and water. we waiting another 10 minutes. The sandwiches were very good and really big. German potato salad was served cold, which I personally am not a fan of, but was well prepared with good ingredients. Couldn't believe a primarily German food restaurant was out of sausage!
We were driving through Lampasas and needed to stop for lunch. I saw the reviews for Eve's Cafe and decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. All the food was delicious and it was a welcoming, friendly environment.
We had dinner here on Saturday...and back for breakfast on Sunday morning! Great food, and friendly staff.
