⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I’d give 10 stars if I could!) We did the 2-hour kayak-to-the-caves tour with Everyday California in La Jolla and it was hands down the highlight of our trip. Absolutely incredible. We originally planned to just rent kayaks, but Josh at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and recommended the cave tour instead — best decision ever. We had a great experience with Lydia! We lucked out and had a small group. Lydia was super knowledgeable. Plants, sea life, you name it, she knew about it! The trip through the sea cave was awesome! And Lydia is a great photographer! Highly recommend Everday California! Laid back, professional group. Safety first, good times a close second.
Fun time on the ocean, but next time I'll wear some motion sickness patches, there's a little more movement out where we were! Didn't see any whales, but saw sea lions and tiger sharks underneath us. Luckily we had really nice weather, and our guide was really nice.
The guides, Duke and Gabe were wonderful! Duke was so knowledgeable and he shared very interesting information about the caves and the area. However, We were disappointed that the cave tours didn't include time really going through the caves. We only went in one cave for a few minutes to look around and it was so cool, but we thought we would be able to paddle through the caves for more of the tour. We had an awesome kayaking trip with Lauren. She was a great guide and very knowledgeable. She also took us into the caves and was persistent in finding the leopard sharks for us (which was a success!). Overall highly recommend.
