Cost of delivery is almost twice the amount of the actual cost of electricity. This is absolutely criminal. I work full time and am hardly home. Not sure how these delivery charges are justified but Eversource absolutely needs to be investigated this is unacceptable!
I snuck into a conference meeting pet eversource is having and they were talking about how they need contractors to build more Apartments if they can fit more people into one building they can charge an individual delivery fee for each of those people the reason everyone's homes are being made more efficient is not to decrease the price you're paying its to increase the amount of people they can put on their system if they can get 10 houses to be more efficient they can add one more house on and they can put four apartment c... read more
Current bill for supply- $179.62. Cost for delivery is $249.35!! Yes, I have electric heat, but I live alone and it's May! I'm not using the heat and I'm keeping my lights off and I'm barely even home. It really is criminal. The one thing I can say is that I've never been shut off when I've fallen behind. I pay as much as I can every month, but the cost in the winter is higher than my mortgage. At one point, I was over 3k in debt in under two months!
