If I could give zero stars I would. Do not use Evernest as your property management company. And do not rent from Evernest. This company is absolutely horrifc. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Let me walk you through my experience as a renter from them: The first few months were fine and we had no issues...until our last month there when we decided to break our lease because we couldn't spend another minute in the house managed by Evernest. (Oh and we moved on Thanksgiving day it was that bad). We encountered a main sweage blockage in our home. Not entirely their fault, not our fault at all, but they were extremely unprofessional in how they handled the situation. It took them 4 days to finally tell us they would get us a hotel to stay in as we did not have access to any water or use any facilities in our home. They booked us the cheapest hotel in the most dangerous area of Little Rock. We showed up to the hotel and turned right around because we felt unsafe. After a week with no water or facilities, the main line was replaced and I had to clean the literal sewage that backed up our lines and filled out bath tubs and toilets. How disgusting that was to clean up what could have been other people's waste. And also talk about a health hazard? They didn't even offer to have someone clean it. Following that we decided we needed to break our lease and move. I emailed, called, left voicemails for a month with no response. I ended up having to text the manager to have her get a hold of them to call me back. Eventually they got back and said our deposit would be sent in the next 60 days. So we moved out on Thanksgiving day. Still had to pay the next 30 days. Well on the 60th day we still had no deposit or notice. So I decided to email them to let them know we were going to contact a lawyer since the lease agreement clearly states they have 60 days. Of course they email back right away and say they had sent the deposit. Well 2 weeks later we finally get it and low and behold, they charged us. The letter just said "general cleaning fee" for $250 and carpet cleaning fee for $220. Now here's the kicker. We didn't even have a strand of carpet in that house. So I responded and said we want our money back. They said they would give the carpet cleaning fee back not the general cleaning. So I asked for proof of what the general ceaning fee was used for. Took them 2 months to finally send me the proof and what do they send me? A picture of a single bug, and 2 smudges on the wall. So in conclusion, this place is a rip off and unprofessional. I would also like to state that I have lived in 8 rentals during my life and have never not gotten my entire deposit back because I leave zero damage and deep clean the entire place. Do not use this company, they treat their renters like sh** and renters do not lease a property through them, they will screw you over. And god forbid you ever have to go through what we went through with them.
