I'm currently dying because of chronic pancreatitis my pancreas is half dead and needs to be removed but no one in this state will do it. Also my insurance won't let me go out of state. So I get to wait until my pancreas dies and I follow soon after. I have been with evergreen for a long time now and my doctors are with Evergreen so I reached out to their palliative care. When I called to check on my referral they said the director had already rejected me without talking to me and they said it wouldn't matter if I sent in a ... read more
Let me just start off with how beautiful the grounds are and calming especially during such a stressful time. I also can’t say enough amazing things about Joshua we were lucky to have him for 3 nights for my grandmothers care and we were so sad he was off the next few days. He’s attentive, understanding, listens while also educating us we felt so comfortable when having him handle my dying grandma. He doesn’t miss a beat and you can tell he’s all in and very thorough.
In general a very good experience for home hospice. The care team arrived as promised, they coordinated and had things such as a wheelchair delivered, and there were weekly nursing visits. I did not give a review of five stars since toward the end an increased drug dosage was agreed to by the nurse over the phone, but either the paperwork was not completed or the prescription never arrived at the house.
Losing a loved one is a painful and emotional experience, but all the caregivers from beginning to end were always so caring and empathetic. My dad was in home hospice for about two months and we appreciated how they were always available to help care for him. In the end he needed to move to the facility and we are so grateful with the care he received. The nurses and volunteers were absolutely amazing making sure my dad could pass in comfort and peace. All the nurses and volunteers are truly angels on earth.
Evergreen has been amazing. I provide in home care services to Seniors and when Evergreen hospice and home health are in place I know they are being well cared for. I do for sure want to give a huge shout out to Jennifer Smith the nurse with evergreen. She is amazing and really makes it easy for our caregivers to understand what she wants from them. I would recommend Evergreen to any of my clients that are looking for references on hospice and home health.
