My husband and I took the intro course, then the safety course same day. Jeremy and Chris were awesome...patient, encouraging, and all around great guys. Glad I did it because it gave us more direction on how to fit our kayak purchase to what waters we'll be visiting. Great outfitter!
I am a novice kayak-er and just went on my first Wednesday evening paddle with Evergreen Outfitters and had a blast! Mike is very professional, organized and attuned to the needs of the group. "The Regulars" (who are much more skillful and experienced kayak-ers than I am) were very kind and helpful. Even though this may be the last Wednesday evening paddle for the season, I am glad I went and tried it out because now, all winter, I can look forward to doing it again next summer! The people at Evergreen Outfitters are the best and there is always a nice selection of boats for rent for an hour or a day. Evergreen is not like those other rental places where you get to choose between a tub and a tub. At Evergreen, you can paddle top of the line boats but beware.. that rental may turn into a purchase. It did for me :-)
I have been buying outdoor equipment and accessories from Evergreen for years. The staff is wonderful. Very knowledgeable and great people to spend time with on their store sponsored outings.
