Hope you're in for a long read! It's worth every second. My best friend was diagnosed with cancer and had to have a total laryngectomy upon removal of the cancerous tumor. They have a specialty unit for tracheostomy care (respiratory therapy), as he had to have an emergency tracheostomy in the ER upon finding out about the cancer.
