FUN! So far so good. I've been a member for about a year now and the activities keep on getting better. I've made a close circle of new friends- but it took me a good month or so to meet them. I hate online dating so this was a better fit for me- And I plan on renewing my membership when it's up. They plan everything and it's just easy to sign up and enjoy whatever is on the agenda. AWESOME! I moved to NY for a new job and had no friends or family in town so I joined Events and Adventures. I have made lots of new friends and I have enjoyed their activities. I have had a really good experience with the staff and I think the membership is well worth the price. If it was free, I would not meet other professionals in the same place in life I am in and get the same folks you see on free dating websites. I don't get why people complain... BEWARE! BEWARE! DO NOT join this outfit if you do not have lots of money to spend. Just about every activity costs $25 & up, plus the membership fees are outrageous! They also wil hassle you if you cancel your membership (with lawyers) even if someone says that they will tell them you are cancelling (not having gone to anything and financial hardships). They will not reimburse you for the fees that they owe you after you have cancelled and they pay no attention to that email and continue taking the fees out (until the credit... read more

Thank God I came across this page; I almost joined because I am a single mother of 2 who never (and I mean ever) goes anywhere without the kids. I thought this was a nice way to meet new people but I didnt like all the pressure they put on you to go and meet with them. I dont think I would be able to afford them anyway specially if the events are not included in the membership. How sad...

I WAS A MEMBER AND THE REVIEWER ME 251 sounds like the high pressured sales pitch they used on me. Terrible. First they fast talk high pressure sales and not a one on one sales pitch, they team up on ya. THE PRICE IS WAY TOO HIGH, THEN WHEN YOU SAY NO THANKS, THEY CUT THE PRICE ALMOST IN HALF ( shoulda walked out based on that fact alone) Legally you have 3 business days to cancel. I am one of the suckers to join this group a few months ago. This price is crazy, and you have to pay for many events on top of the monthly fee. There are a lot of events and it did sound like a good idea. Until I went to the events and realized there is only a small group of people under 40 years old and hardly anyone under 30. I was lied to by the group when I was told the majority of members are in their late 20s and early 30s. Hardly anyone over 40 Meanwhile basically everyone in the group is over 40!!!

Don't Waste Your Money! – The salespeople at E&A will put you thru 2 hours of a very high pressure sales pitch with very nice but pushy salespeople. They will then very convincingly persuade you to sign and contract and pluck down $2,000 "initiation fee", and $50/month in membership dues, and make little mention of the fact that even after these outrageous costs that you have to pay to go to many of their events! Satisfied Customer! – I’m a satisfied Events and Adventures (E&A) member. Before I go on to actually reviewing Events and Adventures of Long Island, I want to first address the common complaints and negative comments I’ve seen on several venue review sites on the entire company, not just the Long Island branch. A good experience – I joined Events and Adventures a little over a year ago. In the time that I have been in the group I have met some amazing lifelong friends and have had some really great experiences! I have had the ability to go sky diving, and white water rafting, which I would not have done on my own. The best part for me is knowing that I can go to any event and find people to talk to. It certainly beats the bar/club scene!
