Parked in the visitor parking, which is clearly marked as visitor parking, and was told by security that it was a restricted area and couldn't park there. There was a sign saying restricted area ahead, but that area was already behind a locked gate anyway. If the visitor parking is a restricted area, then PUT SIGNS UP MARKING IT AS SUCH. For families who have a loved one at this hospital, I highly recommend you get them transferred elsewhere, or else you're going to be making a LONG walk if you wish to visit them.

It was gut wrenching to see the changes at the lakes yesterday. There was so much natural habitat destruction around the lake. Trees and bushes that provided nesting grounds for the ducks and geese, as well as magical places for children to play and pretend. I wonder where the ground hog that use to live under the cypress tree will live now. The cypress tree is gone, along with many other trees that once surrounded the lake. I’m very disappointed with the new “renovation” of both lakes on the grounds. By removing all of the natural vegetation and cutting down trees they have taken away the habitat for geese and ducks and the occasional heron that comes by. Not only that, the geese cannot easily get out of the lake because of the large white rock riprap that lines the banks. The natural beauty of the lake and it’s setting has been destroyed.
