Extremely long wait times in the ER. The other departments were great, my son was born at this hospital via c-section. Had to rush my wife into the ER here for chest/shoulder and arm pain that radiates down to her fingers, dizziness and general ill feeling. It took them 10 minutes to get her. Shes been waiting for 4 1/2 hours after being triaged. She’s obviously not having a heart attack, at least I sure hope she isn’t but haven’t been spoken to by anyone. When eating at dining area at EVANSTON hospital do not EAT or purchase the FRUIT you won't know its rotten until it gets to the bottom of your cup they don't do refunds and dont correct their mistakes
Fell asleep in the ER. Missed it when they called my name. My sister said I was unresponsive for an hour before someone checked on me. Then the nurse put a blood pressure cuff on the same arm that I had an infusion running in. When I told her it was painful she said it would be fine. Five days later I had to go to Urgent Care because my left arm was red and swollen and hot. They allegedly deliberately understaff the emergency room. It results in substandard care and an average wait time over 4 hours for serious and life threatening conditions.
