I stumbled on this alterations about 1.5 year ago and I've been coming here for all my alteration needs. This place gives chic and cozy vibe when you first walked in. The owner and workers are super friendly and helpful. They will have you try on your pieces and carefully going over what you want fix. If you need second opinion they will be honest in their suggestions. They tailor their prices base on the fix and custom needs of the clients. I have tried this place a few times. They don’t pay attention to details. The last time I went in they were rude to me and basically told me a hem job on a beaded dress couldn’t be done. I ended up taking the job to another alterations shop that did a fantastic job and was much more professional.
This is a racket operation, they don’t give you price when you drop your clothes and no price list posted . They pretend not to speak English but when you question their pricing and customer service all of a sudden they do. They charge you what they want. you better ask price before doing business here. If you disagree with the price, they refuse to give you your clothes. They call the center security if you insist. Scare tactic. Buckhead is not Asia. Avoid going there.
Service is fabulous. I always bring my hemming jobs here and was so pleasantly surprised today when Michelle offered to hem them on the spot! Excellent work always.
Insanely expensive. The women working was unpleasant. It was my first experience ever picking up my own alterations (I’m 18) and so I asked her how much it was typical to tip. (Come to find out it is NOT TYPICAL to tip an ALTERATIONS place). She guilted me by avoiding the question and saying “so we can get lunch and stuff” as if the 215 dollars for hemming TWO DRESSES wasn’t enough. I have gone here my whole life and nobody in my family will ever go back.
