I used to really appreciate this paper but they don’t do enough in depth investigation and just jump on the latest issue without enough balance. They need to follow the lead of Willamette Week and increase their quality of work rather than revel in grabbing some power to take someone down.
Occasionally, this paper has done something that rises to the level of good journalism. And then there is the more recent incarnation of the Weekly that dedicates cover stories and numerable pages to fluff stories on pickleball and offensive stories about a Trump-loving UFC fighter who identifies as a "bully" and spouts ignorant trash about America's winners and losers. Love the Eugene Weekly. They are always one of my first resources to find out what's going on in our community.
Wonderful project, interesting model. It was a pleasure to discover your newspaper during our travel from Italy and to shoot the interview with your editor in chief that we will put in our Slow News documentary.
Continues to disrespect our mostly ignore Springfield and is active and vibrant artistic and musical community. Still thinks Springfield is as it was in the 80s and 90s.
