Oil changed a few months prior to moving. When my big trip was over, my car was making a noise. Took it to a mechanic. All the oil was gone from the engine, it was all over the engine space. The gasket for the oil filter was crimped. There were metal shavings in the oil he drained and in the oil filter. My engine now is damaged. I have NEVER had engine problems or lost oil with this car.
