Mike and Mo were absolutely amazing. It was a wonderful experience and something I will truly cherish. I hope to visit again on our next trip to Estes.
We had the BEST time at the observatory! Mike is obviously extremely passionate about astronomy. We got to see a beautiful star wall and learn about the position of the sun and stars before going upstairs to the telescope. We spent about 1.5 hours looking at different stars and galaxies! Highly recommend. But if you have small children please know this experience goes from 8:30 to 10/10:30, so it will be a late night. By far one of the coolest gems in Estes Park! Mike was a phenomenal speaker and knowledgeable about Astronomy! You can tell that this group truly cares about teaching others and giving back to their community. I highly recommend. Thank you for such a cool night!
Good mission behind it and Mike was fun to listen to. Great views of the moon. Considering they run on donations and the do show for no entry fee, it is very impressive.
The local astronomy club meets there on the last Saturday night of the month. There is a guest speaker and then, weather permitting, an observation session follows and there is a large telescope available for the public to view through. The quality of the speakers has been very good when I have attended, in part because of the highly educated population of Estes Park and in part because of the scientific research facilities in the Denver and Boulder areas.
