Dr. Jean listens and explains everything in terms I understand.
Disclaimer: I have never met Dr. Jean in person. I did have 2 virtual visits with her and I really enjoyed talking to her. She was very considerate with nice "bed side manners". The problem occurred when I was trying to book an apt to up my meds. I could not get an apt until FEB 10; I called before Halloween. When I asked to up the meds, (heart meds), I was told to discuss this with the Dr. at next visit. I asked for a prescription refill which they gave me, but that was only for the original dosage, not the increase request... read more
Well efficient office. Not a long wait time. Dr. Jean is amazing. Is personable, professional, well knowledgeable, caring. You won't be rushed and she will listen to your concerns and make sure you have a good understanding. She encourages questions. Dr. Jean is a great physician.
Dr. Jean is the best! She can explain how the heart works in an easy to understand way without talking down to you--a great skill! Her outgoing personality makes me feel how caring and respectful she is of her patients. She is both professional and fun!
Dr. Jean has that great combination of clinical smarts and great bedside manner you hope for in any physician. She is warm and a great listener and communicator. She answers all my questions and encourages lifestyle changes without being a scold. The whole staff at Medstar is also very warm and professional.
Dr Jean is thorough with the exam and testing and takes time with her patients to listen not only to their hearts but to what is going on in their lives as well. Not only do I think that she is a carring and good doctor, but my GP thinks she is very good and very thorough in her exam and testing, and he appreciates her notes that she sends him in addition to the test results.
Dr. Jean is not only very knowledgeable, she is very pleasant, makes you feel comfortable, and really listens to your concerns. Personally, my cholesterol is high and instead of telling me I need medication, she said that I could go on medication or I could change my lifestyle for 6 months then be re-tested. I wasn't sure what to do so I asked her for her honest opinion, and she said, "I'm always a fan of a lifestyle change". This impressed me because so many doctors just push meds.
