Accomodating – I too am shocked at the negative reviews posted because I have always had excellent service and the food has always been fresh and of good quality. I have attended many functions at his location and he has catered several events for my company. I actually have booked him for an upcoming function next month. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.
Excellent – I am shocked to read the August 20 2011 review because that is not the experience I have had the many times that I have attended events catered by Essie's. Please do not let what appears to be a personal vendetta affect Essie's reputation. I have used Essie twice and attended numerous events catered by him. The food was top quality, the service was impeccable. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to friends.
aweful – I used Essie for a party recently. It was terrible!!! Essie was incredibly rude and arrogant. To make it worse, I overheard him talking to someone about Jews and how Israel is the enemy. How unbelievably Anti- Semitic!!!!
Groomsmen are not hired help. – Essie catered a family wedding in SC. He ordered the groomsmen around while they were trying to get their pictures taken--having them carry ice, move plates, etc. He was rude, unprofessional, and unprepared. My family paid for a certain number of bottles of wine and he kept 2/3 of it, even when we requested the unused bottles.
