This doctors office needs a major update and needs to be reported to a medical licensing board. I went for my first appointment last month. I went in to have a checkup done, some bloodwork, etc. However, my appointment was at a scheduled time and I ended up sitting there 2 hours after that time. When inquiring about that time, Virginia, the receptionist, whom should also be retired tries to explain away the long wait times with her being thorough. I went to Essential Medical Care on April 11, 2024, for a routine check-up, as I hadn’t been to the doctor in a while. What I thought would be a normal appointment has turned into a major issue with this doctor’s office. When I first arrived, everything seemed fine. However, the two ladies at the front desk were overly talkative. Ms. Virginia, who is hard of hearing, required me to almost shout for her to hear me. I did not enjoy my experience here and feel like I’m traumatized. I’m not the kind of person that runs to the doctor but becoming a new mom I was like let me at least have primary care. This office was what my Medicaid referred me to. The older lady at the front desk who makes the appointments and answer the phone is absolutely awful! Always wants money for a mask. She is hard of hearing and messes up appointments often. The wait is too long. The doctor is okay. The lady who does the vitals and draw blood needs some assistan... read more
