Atrocious experience at the Essentia ER. The entire Essentia healthcare system is incapable of handling anything wrong with our son. They are unable to perform pediatric echocardiograms or pediatric bronchoscopys. Their solution is to send him to the Twin Cities. Had we known of how inept they are, we would have gone straight to the cities in the first place. While there, they attempted to place an IV, failed and ended up doing a heel poke instead. It doesn’t matter what’s wrong with you they do not care they purposely have people sitting in the ER for 2+ hours because they get paid by the hour. Was seen by a nurse right away then after 2 hours of still waiting to be seen by the doctor I left because I was getting sick and still not being seen. What’s the point of an ER if it takes the same amount of time at Urgent care

I waited 3 hours in the ER bed just to be told they're gonna call me so keep my phone handy. Its been 2 days and I called them 3 times with my handy phone.
