It doesn’t matter what’s wrong with you they do not care they purposely have people sitting in the ER for 2+ hours because they get paid by the hour. Was seen by a nurse right away then after 2 hours of still waiting to be seen by the doctor I left because I was getting sick and still not being seen. What’s the point of an ER if it takes the same amount of time at Urgent care

I waited 3 hours in the ER bed just to be told they're gonna call me so keep my phone handy. Its been 2 days and I called them 3 times with my handy phone.

Fairly quick & secure building. But hello. Liquid penicillin to treat a 7 yr old strep?! If you have never experienced liquid penicillin im here to tell you, you will get your kid to take a grand total of 1 dose. Its that awful. Went to my dr next day & he said why on earth would they prescribe that? Its the worst med we had to taste in med school! So moral of the story, ASK what they are prescribing, because I clearly forgot to.

Not impressed with Essentia Health. The room I was in had large owl imagery on the wall. In many Native communities, owls are considered harbingers of death—not something you want in a hospital room. Honestly, with that kind of lack of awareness, I half expected to see a boarding school photo hanging somewhere too. Given the history Native communities have had with institutions, you’d think there would be more thought put into creating a space that actually feels respectful and safe. Do better.
