I fell yesterday on my way to work and I am so glad that I decided to go to Essen Health Urgent Care. Everyone treated me exceptionally well the General Manager Nialy, Medical Assistant Skylar and the Nurse Practitioner Jessey Chenan all were very professional
Daughter tested positive for strep, so I went in for a test. Only patient in the building. They check me in and send me to an exam room. I wait for 20 minutes, while the staff loudly gossips about coworkers, weather, cars. No one comes to give me a test. I politely ask how long it will be. The nurse rudely says “I’ll be right with you, just needed to give the doctor time to set up tests” (which is also false because a strep kit is out of the box and she sets it up herself). Excelente service.. front desk receptionist was very helpful. And the nurse was very polite.. Definitely recommended this clinic...
The front end staff and technicians were very nice and helpful. However, there was no doctor on site when I visited. This was not disclosed in any way; not on the website when I booked the appointment, not by notice posted upon entry to the facility and not verbally by the staff when I arrived. The video consultation with the doctor, that I had no choice but to accept, could not include the doctor listening to my lungs or looking at my throat, etc. I would have chosen a different facility if I'd known this.
