I've lived in this area since this Essen opened up and I've only been a handful of times. As of recently i had to visit for one of the worst cases of strep throat I've ever had, along with some other sensitive issues i was having. There's a girl here named Skylar/Skyler, and she was literally a godsend. I was in such pain and i was really nervous and emotional and she was nothing but accommodating and professional while still talking to me like i was a human being first. Arrived at 7:50 feeling sick as a dog. Was greeted with, "We're boutta close." Receptionist spent the next 8 minutes telling me why I couldn't see someone because the provider was getting ready to leave. Finally the provider emerged and told me she was in the bathroom and the receptionist had to get her. She also told me they close at 7:30, though it said 8:00 on the door. Big fan. A lot of NYC healthcare is horrific and I was treated not just like a human being but it was very high quality healthcare. Front desk staff were very kind and attentive and medial assistant was very funny. Doctor was extremely patient and sweet with me. I’ll be coming back!
