I joined LA Fitness at the ********** and ******** location in ***********. I have nothing bad to say about the gym itself. I was always clean and had a lot of very good equipment and rarely was anything out of service as the maintenance was good too.Shortly after COVID began the gym initially shut down (as did all establishments) and once they reopened members were required to schedule appointments. LA Fitness makes me impossible to cancel personal trainer package, even though I spoke with manager multiple times and told me that I can cancel or frizz the account anytime, but now that I want it because the service is bad. I would love to upload the ** images and emails I have sent this location. This location has been a dirty land fill since before covid. Roaches in the sauna and trash everywhere, ****** machines. Not sure how this a facility has an A rating when all the reviews are negative.
LA Fitness deliberately makes it near-impossible to cancel a personal trainer package once it has been activated. After agreeing to cancel the plan initially, they continued to withdraw money from the bank account associated with the gym membership without consent and ignored multiple subsequent verbal and written requests to deactivate the plan.A visit to the gym where the plan was activated was insufficient to cancel the plan, as a branch manager needed to be the one to deactivate the plan. Looks like I will need to have my bank continue to void transactions from LA Fitness. When I joined, the Manager made it seem so simple and easy. Cancellation is "Free" but you still pay a non-refundable annual fee whether you are there a week or a year.... Seems incredibly unfair. I called to cancel my membership as this gym just wasn't working out for me anymore, and was told I could only cancel in person. I went into the West ******* LA Fitness location on Monday 7/18/22 after seeing a promotion on the LA fitness website for a 3-day guest pass to try out the gym. After spending an hour with the sales manager (****** "****" *****) getting weighed in, answering personal questions about my health goals, etc., he was on an endless loop trying to get me to sign up for a full month of membership. I would give 0 if I can, but I couldn't! I opened my membership on February 14th or 15th, I only was there for 3 or 4 days membership, due the pool was alway closed, I asked for cancelling my membership on February18, 2022, the front representative told me she can help me with that, she just did something typing in her desktop and then told me "you are all set". DONT DO Buisness with this Company. We signed up for a 1 year agreement. We called to cancel the plan and was told we can only cancel with the Operations Manager. The 1st time i went down there, the ** wasn't there. Supposedly only he can cancel a account. Anyone can help you sign up but the person who can cancel is one person in the whole company.
