Buyer beware...if you sign up, LA Fitness will make you jump through a lot of hoops to cancel your membership, such as mailing your cancellation request certified ** mail (just in case they forget to process the first one or it gets lost in the mail) or walking into a physical branch. Even then, your membership will run another month or so cause you pay for it when you sign up. Worst experience ever !!! People are a bunch of thiefs they charge me for service that was never giving to me and now they do not want to credit my account the manager for the LA Fitness from Hunters Creek his name is ****** very unethical and a thief. This is one of the worst predatory business in the area. I went for a membership freeze because the employee suggested it is better than cancellation. It was a temporary freeze but I called well before the freeze end date TWICE to ask them on the freeze status. Both of the times this business confirmed that I am still on the freeze and the freeze is indefinite since I am asking for it. So far so good. The one annoying part is that I have to ask 1 month ahead of time to put a hold on my subscription and pay money to secure it. This is not always evident.
LA Fitness delays the cancelation and takes the month in advance payment you made at the start of your membership. How this company can maintain an A rating from BBB amazes me. I had to cancel my credit card so that LA Fitness could not keep charging me. This type of practice needs to be addressed.
The manager was very rude to my daughter. She pays good money for a gym that has broken machines and almost nothing works. The manager has an attitude problem and should be fired
First of all, Good luck if your cancellation request happens within 30 days of request. Average time for the cancellation process for LA Fitness membership is 3-4 months. You will be charged additional 3-4 months of membership fees by the time you submit the cancellation.
