Dr tynan does not have a great sense of humor he is a very precise individual that deals with facts he went over my MRI with me in great detail and answered all my questions. To me I would rather have a great surgeon with a horrible personality then the opposite. To me he was a great surgeon and I don't care if he punches cats in his free time he's a very good surgeon and I felt confident in his care.
A breath of fresh air, finally someone who listens. Very knowledeable, in all aspects of his field. I went into my first appointment with a negative attitude. I left with high spirits, and for the first time in 20years, I felt like there was hope for me after all. He is high energy, which should not be mistaken with arrogance. I only wish there were more doctors in this world like him.

I would not recommend this doctor. He doesn’t listen to his patients concerns and doesn’t follow up on conditions. He comes across as very arrogant and narrow minded. He also is not truthful on side effects of the medication. I would not trust this doctor with your life.
Dr. Tynan was a great surgeon. He performed L4-L5 surgery and I healed quickly and played golf 4 months later. Others have talked about his coldness and I found him to have a good sense of humor and spent a lot of time with me. More importantly, he was a great surgeon and worked with precision and skill. I'd let me work on me again in a heartbeat.
This man wasn't even human...when he gave us the terrible news of my husband's diagnosis he was so cold hearted and basically told us to deal with it.
There is never a cure when you are seen by this Dr. Very quick to prescribe lots of meds, doesn't do a very good job of following through, sometimes wonder if he really distinguishes one patient from the next.
Dr. Tynan was very helpful in explaining what the test results were and meant. He also did push unwanted or unneeded test on me. He did notice a growth on my thyroid that was totally unrelated to what he was treating me for. This allowed me to get a jump on the thyroid treatment.
In my opinion, and this is my opinion only, this is perhaps the most uncaring and unsympathetic doctor on the face of the earth. While he may well be certified as a doctor, he, in my humble opinion, needs work as human charged with the care of those in pain. I would suggest that if you want help with pain, look elsewhere, for this man seems, at least to me, not to care if you are in it. I, of course, may be mistaken, but these are my perceptinons of this doctor. They are not to be taken as facts.
