After deciding to pursue a career in medicine, he returned to school at the New York College of Podiatry where he graduated with Honors. He completed his podiatric surgical residency in 1991 at NY Methodist Hospital, where he is now Associate Chief of Podiatry.

I first saw this doctor in 2022 for a plantar plate tear. I was immediately advised of surgery by Ernest Megdanis in podiatry. I scheduled the surgery but I had to cancel. I didn't return in 2024 which clearly shows my condition was not very severe. I developed a slight hammertoe, and surgery again was was the recommendation to repair the planter plate and straighten the toe.
