Went to Aurora ER about 6 months ago. Paid bill with Aurora all is well and good. Today I received a bill from this company, apparently it's common for ERs to give you two bills! One for the clinic and one for physicians. Yay. They don't tell you this there or give any indication of who they are. When I first received the bill, I thought it was a scam. Until I did a little more digging. Very predatory practices. I'll pay my bill but I probably won't ever goto an ER again unless absolutely necessary.
Usually this ER treats me like I matter I did not get that at all this time. The doctor is the reason why I may mention him by name if I can recall it. I have been a patient with St. Luke's -Aurora since I was a kid but since I had a major medical problem since 2015 all of my docs are through there Aurora medical. This particular time when I went I was having a lot of confusion, I couldn't walk without support, the dizziness I was experiencing was making me nauseous, diabetes suddenly went out of control. They billed me even tho I used insurance! I’m looking to proceed with legal action.
1 star is far too generous for these donuts. They sent me to a debt collector and never mentioned anything about my bill previously. I have insurance and for some reason they didn’t run it under my insurance.
