She took extra time to listen to my concerns and find a plan for my medical issue. She referred to her and myself as a team which I loved. She even contacted me on a weekend to follow up about test results. She has a busy clinic schedule and I can see why, she is a fantastic doctor who is patient, kind and very knowledgeable. Our family is lucky to have her as our PCP.
I never felt so written off as a patient who has legitimate concerns for their own health. Spent less than 10 min in the appt and was told certain lab tests don't have any validation for real results and other doctors hate giving those out. If you want to feel like a burden and to be told to manage your mental stress or go see a therapist, she's the one to see. Best of luck.
Challenging.
Simple health issues e.g. cold, flu, seasonal allergies always seem to move to (unwelcome) complex issues. Some patients do not want the laundry list of (preventative) testing. Time for a new PCP.
Very disappointed in this doctor. Originally she was great, until I needed more from her due to my complex medical issues. She suddenly became rude and seemed constantly irritated by my concerns. So I moved on and found a different doctor who actually gives me the referrals I need.
Dr Polczynski was supportive initially. As my condition became more complicated and my symptoms did not subside despite doing everything she suggested, I requested a referral to a specialist. She refused to send the referral and would not call me back personally. If you have any sort of anxiety, which most people have when they are not feeling well, don't bother with her. She has minimal patience and made it clear in her own words that she doesn't have the time.
Was told to see a specialist for my asthma. Made the appointment 2 months out. She took my rescue inhailer away saying I use to much. I did as she asked. But still took inhailer away. With out this is will have an attack. Heat and humidity suffocate me and I asked please 3 different times and nope. I could die with out it or be in the ER like am. Asked for a call from her back and no call. Nurse said nope not filling up any more Ventolin.
