I would give zero stars if possible. Dr. Manning was extremely dismissive of my symptoms. She told me that all of my medical issues were due to mental and psychiatric issues. I went to Dr. Manning after months waiting for an appointment. She was very curt and has the worst bedside manner I’ve ever seen a doctor have. She misdiagnosed my symptoms and said multiple times my symptoms weren’t real. I eventually went to another doctor and had multiple breaks in my back and severe nerve issues that were confirmed by a real doctor.... read more

I found Dr. Manning to be curt and rude. I have been her patient for 5 months. She stated the nerve test I had showed no damage. I still have pain and tingling. She gave me gabapentin which I told her does not work for me. She increased the dosage, still no relief. She had me give blood and I have her called her repeatedly for the results. She has yet to return my phone call. She's also rude. When I was talking she cut me off and said you obviously didn't hear what I said. I will never return to HSS to see her. She is dising... read more

Awful, she was cold and did not listen. She told me nothing was wrong when I hav a lot of neurological issues that needed to be treated. I find it hard to believe that she works at HSS.

I’ve seen this doctor on two occasions after my previous neurologist retired. I find her patronizing, unapproachable, and lacking in compassion and empathy. I think she’s knowledgeable, but has terrible bedside manner. Seeking a respectful provider with more human emotion, who appreciates a patient’s input into their own care.

I saw Dr. Manning for a long-standing issue with my ankle. I had, in two separate instances, trauma to my lower leg and later to the medial side of my ankle. She did an EMG and a Nerve Conduction study and told me that nothing was wrong. Some weeks later I received a written report that indicated it was an abnormal study. Dr. Manning did not want to tell me why the written report said "abnormal" and her assessment was nothing was wrong. I have since been seen by a Neurologist at Weill Cornell who explained that I have a nerv... read more

I would Never recommend Dr Manning. I am shocked that she is with a place like HSS. She is negligent, and dangerous. I am lucky my spinal cord is okay. After being told by Dr Manning I did not need cervical surgery just pain management who by the way was booked for months out. I sought another opinion. Turns out my spinal cord was softening and I was in danger. I was saved by surgery at Weill Cornell Brain and Spinal Center. The pain I suffered was horrendous and unnecessary.

Dr. Manning was extremely thorough in both her initial examination and the follow-ups. She is knowledgeable and curious, a good combination for neurological issues which are often difficult to diagnose. She also had a great way of interacting with me as a patient - very kind and pleasant, not at all rushed, and explaining the various tests. She is an excellent communicator. Finally, I showed her report to a surgeon at another institution, who was very impressed with her evaluation.

Dr. Manning is thorough, kind, compassionate and intelligent. I would recommend her without hesitation. I had been misdiagnosed by doctors near my home and traveled to see Dr. Manning, it was worth the traffic and trip to be treated well by such a knowledgeable physician.
