We had an appointment with Dr Wexler for my daughter's tic disorder. She was very knowledgable on the disorder and its prognosis. She was kind and supportive and offered us many resources. What impressed me the most about Dr Wexler was the way she interacted with my 12-year-old daughter. She treated her with respect and empathy. She was very intuitive to my daughter's nonverbals. She asked great questions and really took the time to listen. I highly recommend Dr Wexler.
Dr Wexler was the Neurologist on call when I took my son to Children’s Minneapolis for sudden worsening of his diagnosed Autoimmune Encephalitis (by three experts prior). She took liberties with charting including paraphrasing with her opinion and stating it was part of his record years ago with a colleague. Her dismissal and manipulation of records led directly to other providers (from the same practice as this hospital contracts with them)following suit and dismissing very valid symptoms. The appt was for my 10 yr old granddaughter, regarding seizures she had had 2 1/2-3 yrs ago and for medication update. Her original pediatric neurologist from a different medical group had left during the pandemic and hadn't been replaced. We tried another group recommended by her general doctor. The neurologist evidently was not used to working with kids, and wasn't to much of a communicator. So it was not a good fit!
