I bought an '03 Santa Fe back in October of 22 and it is now April 23. I bought a car for a decent price and hadn't even driven it more than 3000 miles in the several months I've had it. the transmission completely gave out - there's no way a successful body shop couldn't tell if there was this type of problem with a car. "Who knows what you did to it during the winter but yet somehow you want to blame me for problem you caused on a 20-year-old vehicle? That's quite a stretch" - The Owner. Best customer service experience I have ever had very customer oriented would recommend them for any and all mechanical needs Steve Shafer is very customer oriented sent step by step pictures of all work being done.
I’ve tried calling, texting, and emailing but all I’ve received was an automatic response telling me to check out the website. I was really interested in a vehicle, but after reading the reviews, I’ll go elsewhere.
Unethical, rude, dishonest car sales. Consumer beware.
Business response:

What a junk dealership with an even junkier owner
Yesterday (10/31) my husband had a terrible experience with Ericson Auto in Ankeny. Husband arranged an appointment to buy a used 2003 Pontiac Vibe with a rebuilt clutch and a hood latch that needed replaced (and was promised to be replaced before appointment) for a negotiated price of $3,000. Husband arrived about 20-30 minutes before schedule with cash in hand. The vehicle was not at the lot, it was apparently being picked up from a CarMax parking lot. After waiting about 30 minutes past the scheduled time my husband went ... read more

Sold my younger sister (15) her first car. Babygirl has been saving every penny she’s made to buy a car for almost two years now. Sells her a 2000 camry, not the best car but within her price range and a good first car for her. Owner of this shop said she wasn’t going to need many, if not any, repaired. Within one day of us owning the vehicle, we find out that the passenger door doesn’t entirely close. Not a big deal. Then we discover, all of the lights inside the vehicle don’t work. A fuse had blown Not a big deal, we fixed... read more
