My son was seen by Dr Caplan today and it’s a bittersweet feeling. We were told this office was in network, only to find out after the apt, that our specific plan is indeed NOT COVERED. It’s disappointing, because the care we received from Dr. Caplan today, was the best care we’ve had since moving here two years ago, and I finally felt heard. We had a good experience at our first appointment with Dr. Caplan. Overall, the staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. I really appreciated how they gave us updates as we were waiting, since we were on a bit of a time crunch. Dr. Caplan was very thorough and efficient. He addressed epi pen refills promptly, sending in the script right away. And we addressed some extra allergy issues I hadn’t considered. Dr. Caplan and his team were personable and professional with us, they did not waste time and showed they had reviewed notes from previous providers prior to our appointment. This has felt like such a unique situation for myself that we wrote our own 3 page summary of care and interventions leading up to this appointment and was able to deliver it ahead of our appointment and Dr. Caplan had actually taken the time to read it and understand the series of events that has led to this appointment.
