Today was the second time my daughter and I saw Dr LaRocca. He is still so kind and pleasant. He really knows how to explain things to a mother that knows nothing of the medical field. You can clearly tell he is passionate about what he does. I will continue to recommend him to friends and family.
It was my 10 year old son's first visit and I can't say enough great things. I didn't know what to expect and was worried about my son's ability to handle the drops and holding still due to some sensory issues, but Dr Larocca was so personable and down to earth and understanding of the situation without me even having to explain. I'm very pleased my son felt comfortable and to have had a stress free visit.
We saw Dr. Larocca & his staff today, for the first time. Everyone was so kind & knowledgeable. I was very surprised to see his reviews on here. My experience was extremely pleasant! While I waited, I heard a child struggling (as most kids do) to allow Dr. Larocca to place the drops for dilation, he remained calm & reassuring. Dr Larocca really took the time to explain to me and my 8 year old son about his condition. the office was clean and professional. i was worried about my sons anxiety but everyone in the office was great with him. we will definitely be seeing him for our exams from now on!
Dr LaRocca has been seeing my four kids for almost 6 years. He is absolutely wonderful! So knowledgeable. And has a way of explaining things that help me as a mom understand. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Dr LaRocca is a rockstar!! I had strabismus surgery as a child(1995) that ended up “failing” which apparently is pretty common. I thought I would never have straight eyes again until a colleague told me about Dr LaRocca. I immediately made a consult with him and it was the best decision I ever made. I liked how Dr LaRocca was so patient and took the time to really explain everything to me and my son. He has a quiet, calm demeanor which put us at ease.
My daughters loves seeing Dr LaRocca. He treats her like an equal and directs his questions towards her (and not me). It makes her feel like he trusts her which is key in a Dr/patient relationship. Granted, she’s a child and he obviously talks to me, her mother, about everything. But the way he shows my daughter respect is wonderful.
I had emergency surgery for a detached retina 7/23. Dr. Jian was pleasant and reassuring. The surgery was successful and he saved my sight. Very grateful to Dr. Jian.
