I came to Dr. Cotter for a second opinion on a shoulder injury that had been progressively worsening. The first physician seemed dull and not inviting like many UW Health staff are. Unlike the first provider, he did not default to a single frozen shoulder diagnosis as the first provider, which several other providers later felt did not match my symptoms. Dr. Cotter was very empathetic to me. We came up with a plan and scheduled a follow-up appointment to go over my progress. I felt like he really listened to me.
Very professional, friendly staff. Very brief waiting time and the doc found the exact issue with my knee in minutes. No surgery needed, physical therapy should work, best possible diagnosis. However first available PT appointment is three months out! I intend to present this issue in what they call My Chart and see what they say.
I was treated with kindness and respect. For that there is no number. I was happy to receive the treatment that I had.
