This practitioner is totally arrogant; his questions are biased and judgemental. And he is NOT affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital. If he had any integrity, he would eliminate the link that indicates he is affiliated. Google NMH faculty. He has a very fancy office though.
Dr. Schieber is one of the best psychiatrists I've worked with. I have Bipolar I, so I require seeing a p-doc once a week. Schieber is great at pushing you to improve your life. He makes himself available via text even on the weekends. He is also an addictionologist and I am a recovering alcoholic. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schieber to anyone looking for a solid psychiatry experience.
Dr. Schieber saved me from addiction and restored in me a sense of purpose, integrity, honesty, and hope. I would unconditionally recommend him to anyone in search of these principles, especially those plagued by the suffering of addiction.
I have been seeing Dr. Schieber for many years now. He is compassionate and very knowledgeable. His response time is better than any doctor I have visited. Without his help I would not be where I'am today living a much fuller life.
As result of my time spend in Dr. Schieber care I am better adapted to effectively address my personal and profession life concerns and needs.
Dr. Scheiber is nothing if not intelligent, empathetic, professional, upstanding, organized and suportive. His response time is immediate. I have been his patient for over 15 years and he has helped me immensely. He is also funny and kind. I like him as a person.
I've been a patient for close to 10 years. In that time I've achieved sobriety for 2.5 years now and that could not have happened without Dr. Schieber. No nonsense but compassionate and kind. Brilliant but not in your face. The only constant in my recovery and while every visit hasn't been pleasant, I TRUST him.
