THE WORST !! I can not emphasize that enough!!! You'VE been WARNED !! This guy ruined my life and then WALKED away. I came to him w/a flat tire & he left me w/a bad transmission. Small problem became a huge problem & said, 'good luck! I had lost 10-15% use of my arm. My 1st words out of the O.R. were, 'I cant move my arm. At all'. Erasmus did not come to my room until late the next morning. As I waited, floor nurses were frantic trying to get him. No answer. Nxt day Erasmus told me to wait- no MRI, no EMG, no scan, nada !! TOO MANY CURSE WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS GUY. THIS GUY DOESN’T DESERVE ANY STARS OR THE RIGHT TO SEE ANY PATIENTS. DO NOT SEE THIS GUY. NO COMPASSION WHATSOEVER. WOULD NOT LET ME SAY ANYTHING. WOULDN’T A TRUE PROFESSIONAL WANT TO HEAR YOUR “STORY “? DID NOTHING BUT PUT ME DOWN. “I CAN READ AN MRI BETTER THAN ANY RADIOLOGIST OUT THERE!” LEFT THE ROOM WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING ELSE - WAS MY APPOINTMENT OVER? If this site wouldn’t restrict my words, I’d have plenty more angry words to say.

Horrible! Can I leave less than 1 Star? Didn't even look at me at my first (and LAST) appointment, dismissed everything I tried to say, and walked out of the room without even a goodbye. Well, I say goodbye and good riddance. I wouldn't even allow him do surgery on my dog! He has the bedside manner of a slab of concrete. How has he been allowed to practice medicine this long?

Dr. Erasmus seems to be the go to doctor for insurance denials. His bedside manner is much to be desired. If you want your medical needs actually addressed, steer clear of this doc.

Went to Dr. Erasmus for chronic back pain, I had a herniated disc w/ leg pain and numb foot. They scheduled me for a microdiscectomy but NEVER told me it wouldn’t resolve the back pain. Surgery didn’t help the worst part ans was informed AFTER surgery it isn’t intended to help pain. On top of that it takes months to get an appointment for 2-5 min of the docs time and to be told to see how you feel on a few months and then come back. I am now being seen at UNM and receiving much better care.

Excellent doctor and surgeon. He takes the time to outline exactly what your condition is and how he plans to fix it.

I went from near paralysis to hiking several hours a day. Dr Erasmus did an amazing job with perfect alignment of my back. I'm thrilled to have my life back!

Great experience with Dr. Erasmus. He has a passion for the work he does. If he knows that he can help you, he will go above and beyond to fix your spine via bone fusion or artificial disc. I like Dr. Erasmus. He doesn't waste time in his consoltation and gets right to the point. I like that. He is very competent and excellent at his job. I hav suffered for so many years and Dr. Erasmus said he could help me and he did. I highly recommend him. I trust him implicitly. He is kind and compassionat.

Dr. Erasmus did an excellent job removing a pituitary adenoma from my brain. I met with him in January of 2017 and was operated on at the end of March. He explained clearly what needed to be done and how he was going to do it. I was in the ICU the day of the surgery and went home the next day. By the 4th day I was feeling normal again. His staff was friendly and helpful at all times and the nurses he chose to care for me were exceptional. Highly recommended.
