If you rent from this company, take move-in and move-out pictures of absolutely everything— closet, window sill, wall, floor, appliance, shed, and anything else you can think of. I cannot stress this enough. I rented the same property for 4 years. I never missed a payment and never made a late payment. During those 4 years, my rent increased by roughly $100+ every year. This is my THIRD review on this place. We bought an outdoor chair for our patio when we first moved in. It’s been on our patio since October of last year. This week they told us to remove it because it was flagged an ‘indoor chair’. I explained to them that it is an outdoor chair but they do not care and said they will remove it and charge us for it if we don’t by today. I’ve had so many issues with this place it’s ridiculous. I was having difficulty using the new lock installed on my door. Chantal and David were so nice and guided me through the process . They both were so patient to make sure that I was able to use the new lock correctly.
I would not recommend Equity Team to anyone looking to rent a property, nor would I recommend them to any landlord looking for a property management company. My experience completely changed after move-out. Throughout the dispute process, Equity Team repeatedly claimed they had photographs and inspection documentation supporting nearly every charge they assessed against my security deposit.
