We’ve had a fantastic experience with Equity Residences. So far we’ve used our membership for trips to Costa Rica, Los Cabos, and Hawaii, and each one has been excellent. This company is extremely dishonest and predatory when it comes to money. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with them to reconsider. I booked a luxury villa through VRBO for over $14,000. My credit card's security system flagged the payment and placed it on hold. I immediately contacted my card company and requested that the payment be reprocessed to Equity Residences, but due to delays on VISA's end, it took time for the funds to reach them. I found a vacation house on VRBO. I started to reserve, as soon as I entered my credit card info Equity Residences charged my card. This was before I reviewed the contract and signed. The contract was not the same as the advertisement, and I also had a personal issue come up so I cancelled my reservation. It has been 3 weeks and they refuse to respond to my emails and they have not refunded my $12,000. My recommendation is to stay away from Equity Residences!
