This company is horrible. My daughter has been enrolled in their program since December. My 9 yo daughter is 4 foot 4, and 62 pounds at intake. They claim that she has anorexia, and she absolutely DOES NOT! She is a normal picky eater. Now she is 68lbs they recommend she eat 3,400 - 3,600 calories per day. WHAT?! They also excluded me from meetings and therapy sessions. They lack communication… They make up issues that do not exist so they can bill insurance. It couldn’t be more obvious. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

I can’t say enough about this program and how it helped my family. Every provider was so helpful and personable. They are quality care and not greedy like a lot of places. We appreciate them very much.

I gained no less than 120 pounds in the care of Equip, all while being told by my care team that “there were no major changes to my weight” and “everything is stable.” I was overweight to start and did not need to be gaining. Now I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, irritated kidneys, poor circulation, and difficulty with mobility due to being dangerously obese - I’ve never had these issues in my life. They were not at all helpful to me. This place just tries to rack up multiple appointments so they can make $$ from the insurance companies. It’s also very difficult to get a human being on the phone. I had a family emergency & my work hours changed so I had to work a lot & told them I would reschedule when I could. Then 1 of the NP’s encouraged me to get some lab work done & I ended up having to pay out of pocket b/c they couldn’t even spend a few minutes to process the billing paperwork properly! The virtual format of Equip has made a huge difference for me. Being able to meet from the comfort of my own home helped me feel more relaxed, comfortable, and open than I think I would have in a traditional setting. Every provider I've worked with has been amazing. They've been supportive, understanding, and genuinely invested in my progress.
