I really like the layout of the gym; the staff is friendly, and the equipment is good. However, I recently discovered that it closes at 7 pm on weekends, which seems crazy. How can a gym close so early, especially when membership costs $300 a month? 7 pm is a completely reasonable time to work out.
Not sure what the negative reviews are about. Got a global membership, this Equinox is on par with the others I have attended. Though I went at 10am on a Monday. It has four floors, people probably don’t realize and complain the third floor is too small.
The opening hours are way too short. The gym closes at 6 pm on a weekend which is my regular gym time. Even a $15 Planetfitness has better opening hours. I understand if you don’t offer classes or close the SPA but that the general opening hours are so short is annoying.
Yearly update: It’s a cool location, and the staff is absolutely great. I hear the classes there are great. There are awesome trainers. Those aspects keep improving. Otherwise this is, without question, the worst gym in terms of equipment, layout, maintenance, that I have ever had to use at any price point. If you come to a gym to use the gym, you’re better off using the 24hr fitness at 1/10 the price. Based on the actual gym equipment here, $40 a month would be a rip-off.
Honestly i was really disappointed. I live in new york and the equinox’s there are a lot more professional and a lot more to the punch with their employees
