Love the pool! Equinox is one of the few gyms around with an outdoor pool (on the roof!) You can always get a lane, and the pool is always clean and well heated (year round). The gym equipment is also top notch and the staff is, for the most part, very friendly.
watch out if you like weekend access or think you may ever need to cancel I think a premier gym should have 7 day a week access. Pine St. is only open 6 days a week. I signed up at another location that had 7 day access and then moved here. I need the weekend, but when I cancelled because i just can't use the gym without the weekend, they still made me pay another month of dues. Like a veritable body-conditioning mall, this health complex addresses many needs over multiple floors. The Scene A good chunk of SportsClub/LA's dense population comes from the corporate realm, and it shows. EQUINOX Fitness Equinox prides themselves on being very very clean, which they are. Their three studios lend itself nicely to awesome cardio, spin, and yoga classes. The staff is accomodating.
$uper Clean - Members Don't Stink! if you're looking for a super health club/gym this is the place....if you not shy about spending an extra $100 amount this is the place to go too...all members take a shower at least once a day and nobody stinks!
They are loosing members.... The club is so desperate for members they are bribing members with free stuff. Some other members found out and they want the same stuff. Big rumors in locker room.
Love Equinox great place! spacious and clean, great atmosphere, classes are always fun and challenging, simply a great place for a workout!
Best Equinox in Los Angeles Let me first start out by saying that Equinox gyms are my favorite. The people that work out there are hip but not overly obnoxious. By far this Equinox in Westwood is the best. It is spacious, new and the decor is chic and modern. I always feel like I have enough room and not too much overcrowding, unless I go during peak hours, which I tend to stay away from! Nice :)
No Complaining Allowed at The Sports Club/LA The only people who work out here are old and rich. And management is the same way. So if you do not fit their ideal, then you are treated like a second class customer.
