So my Family and I where on our way home from a weekend of water slides and needed to stop and eat quick . We pulled off the highway and went into Mystic diner. Loved the style of the bldg and where seated quickly! Had Nick for a server who I must say gets a 10 in my book!!! We've traveled all the way to Maine from North Carolina (and Brooklyn) for lobster and hands down Mystic Diner's lobster rolls (and buttah!) were better than anything up north!! Can't wait to pass through again... Carrie - we're coming back next year!
I reviewed this diner on Trip Advisor and gave them 2 stars. Which was really 1 too many, but I was taking into account that the service was nice. On TA the manager replied that I'd said the pancakes were great, so why the negative review? TA won't allow a reply, so I'm stating here that I NEVER said that anything I ate here tasted great. I ordered eggs benedict, that I sent back 2 times because BOTH times the eggs arrived like soup. I was there this past week and although the food was just average our waitress Angel was very good and compensated for what the meal lacked. We went the next morning for breakfast only because our hotels comp breakfast was too crowded. The waitress we had was very unpleasant and had the nerve to be rude to my sister. Some people shouldn't be serving the public.
BEST DINNER EVER..
The restaurant is fairly good, but their new Ice Cream/Bakery Shop is quite disappointing. It is just a window with no seating and their staff doesn't know how to make a "Sundae" yet. I wouldn't advise leaving your favorite Ice Cream Shoppe just yet!!

It's a diner the food was ok. However I would have expected a better breakfast then what I got. They also screwed up the order and there was only 2 of us.
