We were scheduled to be induced. In labour for 12 hours. We had a midwife Joey in this amount of time and just wow. We were very much blessed to have her love and care during this time. She assisted my husband on how to be of practical support through the contractions. It worked so well. Just so thankful for her. The birthing suite was very spacious and very calming. First time having baby here. I chose to have my baby here as I heard the food was fantastic- and it was! I enjoyed every meal and portion size was great! Seems like it was understaffed as it took a while for nurse/ midwives to come but overall experience was great. Double private room was comfortable and clean .
Following my caesarean birth in July 2024, I experienced ongoing discomfort and complications that were not adequately addressed during my stay. My symptoms were repeatedly reassured as normal, despite later being diagnosed with a bowel ileus by my obstetrician. I was profusely vomiting and unwell, and the midwife in charge did not offer me, my husband, or my newborn any support, nor did she contact my obstetrician.
