It was great working with the team starting from Paul H, to Krystal M, and most importantly Lily R. Lily was very responsive, answered my phone calls, and quickly responded to my questions. There were no surprises, no hidden fees, or strings attached to my loan. All and everything were disclosed up front on day 1. Thank you for the review. However, you had $0 lender fees. At the time you locked there was no better pricing in the country. You received a lender credit that was $254 higher than the origination fee. There was no underwriting, processing, admin or appraisal fee. Epic does offer a secure portal to submit documents.
Do not use for VA loans. No attention to detail, you are just another packet of paper. Great rates and very responsive so not a one star. When they sent me closing disclosures and told me to just sign them, and they'd change the numbers to be accurate later, but closing was in just three days. The whole point of disclosures are so the buyer knows what they are getting. When I changed my mind and went with someone else, the general manager sent me two nasty emails and told me to send all my friends and family elsewhere. So, t... read more

The customer agreed to close when he locked. He was told how the process works and how the numbers would update several times over the phone and via email. His friends and family are were encouraged to go elsewhere since we are overwhelmed with applications and requests. We can only work on loans that close from Borrowers who stick to what they agree to. The TRID law requires that the final disclosures are sent 3 days prior to closing. I did a re-fi in July of 2019 and wanted to wait a few months before leaving a review. Looking back, to be honest, I don't remember all the details. We had plenty of emails back and forth. All I really recall is the feeling that I'm glad I worked with Epic. I received a great rate, so much so that the closing agent who came to my home to complete the paperwork, even commented on it asking me how I managed to get the rate I did. Our Loan Processor did everything in her power to make a fundamentally nightmarish process (anyone who tells you that getting a mortgage is a breeze is pulling your chain) so easy on us. She was kind, patient when we didn't understand (often) and by the end of the process I honestly missed our daily emails and calls!
