Environment Maine works towards important issues and provides a great experience for people in campaign positions!
I worked here and it is not a good company in my opinion. They are VERY misleading and shady about where the money we fundraised is going. The more I looked into the company the more questions I had, and even when I worked there I was unable to get answers. Also, DO NOT WORK FOR THEM. You are actually an employee of The Fund which if you do any research into you can see what a terrible company they are as well. This organizations silence during the approval of a Nestle executive to the Maine board of Environmental Protection is appalling. How much money has Nestle paid them for their complicity?
Why on earth environment Maine wasn't at the state house testifying against Marc Dubois is beyond me. Either your a scam organization or you are complicit with nestle.
We support many environmental initiatives and it is unfortunate that the canvassers ruined Environment Maine for us last night: At about 8:45pm we heard voices on our porch, never knocked on our door. Went out there to find a couple kids lounging in our chairs, eating pizza while taking a break from canvassing. I think your goals are admirable; however I think Maine is one of the states least iimpacted by the oil and gas industry. So I am sending my support to national environmental agencies, like NCRC and the Nature Conservancy, instead.
