I recently attended an Orienteering 101 class through Environeers. The class was held on a Saturday morning from about 8a til 12p. There were about 10 people in the class. We learned the basics of using a compass to navigate on a heading and the basics of using a map. It was followed by some exercises where we bushwhacked on a heading to find our destination. Oh my gosh, I love this store! Can hardly drive past it without stopping. They have EVERYTHING for someone. I'm not a camper, but I am a traveler. Have not been on a trip without taking along many items purchased at this store. And, the employees are incredibly helpful...they really know their products.
I spend most of my days outdoors in every kind of weather imaginable. As a full time Captain for Wolfmouth Charters, I have to be prepared for everything nature can throw at me. In my spare time I climb, hike and trek and I want to be able to really enjoy my self on the trail and on the water and not regret that I wasn't ready when it counts.
