Many years ago, the English Inn introduced me to what fine dining really means. I had the chance to revisit this past weekend and was not disappointed. Service was excellent, as I remembered. Filet mignon was almost fork tender, perfectly done and delicious. Their spinach salad with Door County Cherry bacon dressing was fabulous. (I wish I had bought a jar of the dressing, which they have for sale.) Unfortunately, I was too full for dessert. I guess that means I'll have to go back.
My daughter and I look forward to dining here every year in October. It's our guilty pleasure. Martinis are great, food is to die for and the staff is friendly. See you next October!

Had 7pm reservations, showed up on time and was seated at 740, Hostess was rude, food was ok and waitress was good.

My husband and I come to Door County almost every October to celebrate our anniversary. We make it a point to dine at English Inn on the actual anniversary date. We have never been disappointed in this restaurant for both food and service. Sometimes we wait a little longer to get seated, but this is only because it is extremely popular. It is definitely worth any wait!
