We had a refinance done and had David come out to appraise our home. He was very professional and responded to all my texts fairly quickly. I had a good experience with him. I’ll definitely reach out to him for appraisals in the future. Not an easy job to appraise a home with 9 inches of snow and ice on the ground but he came out and was very fair in his assessment.

I, unfortunately, had David English assigned to appraise my home. He valued my home over 20% lower than what it should have been, verses very comparable homes that recently sold. He is the first appraiser I have ever had, or heard of, taking away value from a home due to condition (verses the comps), even though my home was completely remodeled and was nicer or as nice as the comps. English Appraisal Services was 1 of 3 companies to appraise our home and by far the outlier. In the end, their projected sales price was 21% lower than the actual sales price. That is an abysmal effort and one that could have cost us tens of thousands of dollars had we not contracted additional appraisals.
Appraiser refused to speak to the homeowner after the appraisal. Not even knowing what questions I had. Prior to the appraisal, responded to calls and emails immediately. Appears to not be able to stand behind her work. Appears guilty.
